Michelle Bird is a Los Angeles based curator of moments, and chaser of natural light, with a focus in Commercial and Portrait photography. She has photographed GRAMMY award winning bands/artists among them: Maroon 5, Arcade Fire, Brad Paisley, Edwards Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Robi Draco Rosa. She has also worked with well-known companies, Livestream, Lexus, Woodsnap, and is a seasoned writer for the popular photography website SLR Lounge. Her body of work has graced the cover of Collective Quarterly, and has been published in Sunset Magazine, OC Music Magazine, Long Beach Post, Black Vinyl Magazine. Michelle has also been known to tighten her adventure boots, capturing the depths of the Sequoias with its thousand year old trees, the translucent waters of the Caribbean, the vibrant sacred landscapes of the desert, and the changing of seasons in New England.
Michelle doesn’t photograph people, landscapes, or things, she photographs the way they make her feel, the connection that lies between what’s on the other side of the lens and herself, the emotion, the details, textures, the peak of exhilarating energy, the bridge between the past and the future, the candid gatherings in particular places, that moment you want to re-live over and over again. Michelle Bird photographs…life.
